In short: if you can swap in a different set of weights and use the exact same inference code for a different task, your setup is legitimate. If the inference code is inseparable from the algorithm, it's not.

The browser’s built-in AAC or Opus decoder doesn’t know a damn thing about HotAudio’s proprietary encryption scheme. It only speaks standard codecs. The decryption must happen in JavaScript before the data is handed to the browser.
